Date Of Death: February 9, 2013Judy Bluhm, 67, of Charles City, died Saturday, February 9, 2013, at Springdale Village in Mesa, Ariz.
Funeral services for Judy Bluhm will be held 11:00 a.m. Saturday at Trinity United Methodist Church. Pastor Jim Beranek will officiate. Burial will be in Riverside Cemetery at Charles City.
Friends may greet the family at the church from 9:30 a.m. until service time.
Judy Darrow Bluhm was born July 12, 1945, at Charles City, the daughter of Delbert and Vera (Strickler) Darrow. She attended Charles City High School.
On July 20, 1962, she was united in marriage to Don Bluhm. They owned and operated Bluhm's Greenhouse and eventually Bluhm's Cedar Valley Florist.
She was a member of Trinity United Methodist Church and the Rebels Camping Group. Judy enjoyed playing cards, Dominos, Joker and going camping. She always enjoyed coffee and tea time at Dave's Restaurant with her friends. For eleven years Judy and Don were "snowbirds" in Mesa, Ariz. Judy's family was always very important to her and she looked forward to sharing life's experiences with them.
Living family members include her husband, Don Bluhm of Charles City; three children, Delwin "Matt" Bluhm of Charles City, Donna LaBarge of Tampa, Florida, and Deb (Mike) Peterson of St. Michael, Minnesota; six grandchildren, Kristi Majewski, Shawn LaBarge, James Bluhm, Kylie Bluhm, Abby Peterson and Alex Peterson; great granddaughter, Mariah Majewski; two brothers, Dean (Anita) Darrow of Charles City, and Paul (Sharon) Darrow of Colorado; and a sister, Carol Litterer of Charles City.
She was preceded in death by her parents; two brothers, Keith and Ken Darrow; and two sisters, Karen Darrow in infancy and Gladys Winters.
