DIES AT HOME

Services Scheduled
Monday Afternoon
at Lindaman Home

CHARLES CITY, IOWA — Loren E. Hillier, 73, died Friday afternoon at his home, 102 Gilbert Street, following an illness of two years.

He was born in Madison, Wisconsin, and received his education in the Floyd County schools. He had lived in Charles City 30 years. During the latter part of his life he had served on the police force for six years and was court bailiff for three years. He was a member of the I.O.O.F. lodge and the First Methodist church.

Funeral services will be held Monday afternoon at the Lindaman Funeral Home with the Rev. Wesley Belling of St. Ansgar officiating. He will be assisted by the Rev. B. A. Wentland of Clarkesville. Burial will be in Riverside Cemetery.

Surviving are his wife, Rebecca, one son, Earl, Dubuque, a stepdaughter, Mrs. Beatrice Werk, West St. Charles township; two brothers, Roy Hillier, Charles City and Guy Hillier, Cedar Rapids; and one sister, Mrs. Grace Grimm, Compton, California.
