NORA SPRINGS WOMAN DIES AT MASON CITY

Nora Springs – Mrs. Flora Dane, 92, died at a hospital at Mason City Sunday at 1:15 p.m. she was among the oldest residents of this community. She is survived by a daughter, Mrs. L. M. Knutson of Nora Springs.

Mrs. Dane had been at the hospital since last Tuesday. She had been a resident of Nora Springs since 1920, coming here from Charles City.

Mrs. Dane was born at Yale, Michigan, November 17, 1860. Her husband, Joseph Dane, died in 1931.

Besides her daughter she leaves three granddaughters, three great grandsons and one great-grandson.

Funeral services will be held Tuesday at 1:30 p.m. at the Sheckler Funeral Home with the Rev. Carl Sentman of Mason City officiating. Burial in Rock Grove Cemetery.

Flora Bell Holcomb was born November 17, 1860 in Michigan, the daughter of Samuel and Amy Holcomb.

She married Joseph Gwin Dane, the son of Joel Dane and Rebecca (Gwin) Dane.

The daughter mentioned in the obit was Amy Dane, the wife of Louis Knutson. Amy was born March 7, 1888 and died December 4, 1975 in St. Paul, Ramsey, Minnesota.
