Funeral services for Percy M. Allen, 64, of Minneapolis and formerly of Waterloo, will be at 2 p. m. Saturday at the Kearns-Dykeman chapel.
Mr. Allen died Thursday morning in Veterans Hospital in Minneapolis of cancer, after being ill for three years.
He was born March 8, 1894, in Nora Springs, Iowa, son of William and Mary Shook Allen. He lived there till, joining the Army in World War I.
On July 17, 1919, he married Nettie B. Crowell in Independence. The couple settled in Waterloo, where Mr. Allen was employed at the John Deere Tractor Works. They moved to Minneapolis 16 years ago.
Survivors include his wife; two sons, Leonard, of Minneapolis, and Willis, of Bellflower, California; three brothers: Ehle D., of St. Louis, William W., of 410 Riverside Dr., and Arliegh, of Oelwein, and one sister, Mrs. Verna DeSerno, 750 Ansborough Ave.
He was preceded in death by his parents, a son, a daughter, and three brothers.
The Rev. John Tolson, pastor of Hagerman Baptist Church, will officiate, and burial will be in Fairview Cemetery.

NOTES:Percy's 9-yr-old daughter, Lucille Maude, was accidentally shot in the head by two youths target practicing in March 1930. She died days later.
Lucille's brother, Donald Fay, also aged 9 years, drowned in Waterloo, Iowa, in April 1941.
Both children lived in Waterloo at the time of their deaths.
