Stella Larson, 91, of Charles City, died Tuesday January 8, 2013 at the 11th Street Chautauqua Guest Home.

There will be a gathering of family and friends from 2 p.m. to 4 p.m. Saturday at the Hauser Funeral Home.

Stella Ruth Larson was born July 3, 1921 in Bismarck, North Dakota, the daughter of Edwin and Stella (Carlson) Larson. She attended school in Charles City. She was a long time resident of Chautauqua Guest Homes. Stella enjoyed visiting and joking with friends, and in her younger years she enjoyed riding her bike. She was a member of the Trinity United Methodist Church in Charles City.

Living family members include a brother, Cal Larson of Charles City, and several nieces and nephews.

Stella was preceded in death by her parents; three brothers, Justin, Howard, and John; three sisters-in-law Mary Lou, Mildred, and Betty Larson; she was also preceded in death by her nephew Peter Larson.
