OBITUARY.

Kenneth Martin Ackley was born at Marble Rock, Iowa, June 10th, 1885 and died at the same place on December 19, 1918, aged thirty three years, six months and nine days. He was married to Miss Minie Freeman of Cedar Rapids, Iowa, on February 1st, 1915 and to this union were born two sons, Le Roy Edward and Wilbur Durane.

The deceased received his education in the Marble Rock Public Schools; he has spent most of his life on the farm, but a year ago he bought the restaurant on Bradford Street and has since been one of Marble Rock's business men and also has been city Marshall. For about fifteen years he has held membership in the Modern Woodmen.

He leaves to mourn his death, besides his sorrowing wife and babies, his father and mother, Mr. and Mrs. Gerry Ackley, one sister, Mrs. Mattie Sallee, two brothers, Eduard C. of Aberdeen, South Dakota, and Harrison of Charles City, Iowa, and many other relatives.

Funeral services were held Saturday afternoon at the late home, conducted by Rev. Weaver.
