November 22, 1954 - December 2, 2011
Debra Sue Long 57, of 908 W. 1st St., Oil City, Pennsylvania, died from injuries she sustained in a one car accident Friday, December 2, 2011 in Mason City, Iowa. Black ice was the probable cause.
Born in Baltimore, Maryland, on November 22, 1954 to Joseph and Marcella Nulph Long.
She grew up having many homes with her father being in the US Army. She did move back to this area in time for her senior year. She graduated from OCHS in 1972. Deb then went on to the Ivy School of Art in Pittsburgh, for the next three years.
She was of the Catholic Faith.
Deb started driving truck with her brother Joe in 1994 and they were a team for the next 12 years. She then went out on her own, criss/crossing the country where her work would take her.
She enjoyed politics and getting involved in the issues, photography, needlepoint, Pittsburgh Steelers Football, Nascar and Lady Gaga.
Survivors include her parents of Rouseville, Six siblings and their spouses: Sue and Jeff Kasbee of Franklin, Diane and Ken Coleman of SC, Paul Long of Oil City, Joe and Kim long of Rouseville, Bill Long of Houston, Texas and Laurie Long of Rouseville. A special Aunt Peg Davenport of Warren, Ohio. Her Fiancee' Curt Fox of South Bend, Indiana, and her best friend Jean Russell of Seneca; 11 nieces and nephews: Jerry, Adam, Lindsey, PJ, Joey, Justin and Jordan, Amanda, Kristin, Ashley, Kelly and Eddie. And two great nephews, Jerry and Karson and a great niece Sue Ellen.
There will be no viewing. A memorial Service will be held at 8:00 P.M. Wed. in the Reisel Funeral Home & Crematory. The family will receive friends from 6:00-8:00 P.M. prior to the service. Fr. Matthew Ruyechan will preside. Interment will take place at the convenience of the family.
Memorials may be made to the Leukemia Society, or to the Cenango County Humane Society.

CHARLES CITY, IOWA - A woman died after crashing her vehicle in the northbound lanes of Highway 18 late Friday.
Debra Sue Long, 57, of Oil City, Pennsylvania, was ejected from the vehicle during the crash and pronounced dead at the scene. The accident was reported about 11:50 p.m. at the 212 mile marker of Highway 18.
The Iowa State Patrol said Long was in the northbound lanes and crossing a railroad bridge when she lost control on an icy spot on the roadway. Her van crossed the median and rolled several times, throwing her from the vehicle.
In another accident in the area Friday, three people were hurt in a crash in Benton County.
That two-vehicle accident was reported about 9:15 a.m. at the intersection of Highway 30 and County Road W12.
Those injured were identified as Keaton Miller, 17, of Blairstown; Danny Gasper, 14, of Blairstown; and Patricia Thompson, 56, of Van Horne. Keaton, the driver of one of the cars, was taken to Mercy Hospital in Cedar Rapids; Gasper, a passenger, was flown by air care to University Hospitals in Iowa City.
Thompson, the driver of the other van, was taken by private vehicle to St. Luke's Hospital in Cedar Rapids.
Troopers said Keaton's car was northbound on County Road W12 and Thompson was eastbound on Highway 30, when Keaton failed to stop at the stop sign and collided with Thompson.
The accident remains under investigation.

Pennsylvania woman killed in accident on Avenue near Charles City

CHARLES CITY -- A Pennsylvania woman was killed late Friday night after she lost control of her van on an icy spot on the Avenue of the Saints north of Charles City.
Debra S. Long, 57, Oil City, Pa., was pronounced dead at the scene, according to a report from the Iowa State Patrol.
The accident occurred at 11:50 p.m. Long was traveling north on the Avenue. While crossing the railroad bridge south of the 212 mile marker, she lost control on an icy spot on the roadway, the report stated.
The van crossed the median and rolled several times. Long was ejected from the driver's side.
The van came to rest in the southbound lanes of the highway.
Long's body was taken to Mercy Medical Center-North Iowa for an autopsy.
The accident remains under investigation.
