MASON CITY, IOWA — Laura J. Hinrichs, 44, of Mason City, died Friday, Nov. 23, 2012, at Mercy Medical Center – North Iowa.

Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m., on Wednesday, Nov. 28, at Major Erickson Funeral Home, 111 N. Pennsylvania Ave., with Rev. Kenneth Gehling of Mercy Medical Center – North Iowa officiating. Visitation will be from 5-8 p.m. on Tuesday, Nov. 27, at Major Erickson Funeral Home. Interment will be at the St Mary’s Cemetery in Roseville.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be directed to the Laura Hinrichs memorial fund in care of the family. Online condolences may be left for the family at www.majorericksonfuneralhome.com .

Laura was born October 4, 1968, the daughter of John and Sharon (Andrews) Daub. She attended Mason City High School and continued her education at NIACC, where she earned two AA Degrees. Laura loved talking to people and truly enjoyed her job waitressing. She spent the past six years as a waitress at Bonanza. On June 5, 2010, Laura married David Hinrichs in Mason City. She enjoyed spending time with her family — especially her grandchildren. She also enjoyed painting, drawing, cooking and completing numerous types of puzzles.

Laura is survived by her husband: David Hinrichs of Mason City; her children: Cyle James Spieker and wife Kayla, of Manly, Erica Spieker and significant other, Jeremiah Heinz, of Mason City, Cody Hammond, of Kentucky, Zachary Norton, of Mason City and Nicholas Hinrichs, of Mason City; 12 grandchildren; her parents, John Sr. and Sharon Daub, of Mason City; siblings: Lois Spieker and significant other, Jon Peterson, of Mason City, Julia Knecht and husband, Steven, of Charles City, John Daub Jr. and wife, Jené, of Traer, and Christine Evans and husband, Thad, of Joice. She is also survived by eight nieces and seven nephews.

She was preceded in death by two brothers: Anthony Paul Daub and Stephen James Daub; a niece, Stephania Anthonette Daub; and grandparents Paul and Mary Lou Nixt, and William and Inez Daub.
