Frederick William Lacour – March 6, 1877 – December 28, 1949

Floyd – Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. Friday at the Floyd Methodist Church, for Fred W. Lacour, 72, who died unexpectedly at his harm home, five miles northwest of Floyd, Wednesday, following a heart attack. He suffered a heart attack in September, but appeared to have recovered. Burial will be in St. Charles Cemetery. Friends may call at the Hauser Funeral Home, Charles City until 11 a.m. Friday.

The deceased was a life-long resident of Floyd County, and was born in Ulster Township, March 6, 1877, a son of Fred and Christiana Lacour. He farmed in Ulster Township until 1924 when he moved to his farm northwest of Floyd. He was a member of the Floyd Methodist Church.

He leaves his widow, Martha Hirsch Lacour, two daughters; Mrs. Howard Witzle, Charles City; and Mrs. John Jacobs, Rudd; and three sons; Milton Lacour, Red Oak; Clarence Lacour, Rockford; and Gilbert Lacour, Floyd; three brothers; The Rev. Emil Lacour, Earlville; Ed Lacour, Charles City, and Charles Lacour, Rudd; one sister; Mrs. Clara Rekers, Ft. Dodge; and seven grandchildren.

Preceding him in death were three children, all of whom died in infancy; three brothers; three sisters; and his parents.
