Glenn John Kellogg – April 22, 1894 – April 8, 1946

MILITARY RITES FOR EX-SOLDIER

Charles City – Funeral services were to be held Wednesday afternoon at 4 o’clock at the Hauser Funeral Home for Glenn J. Kellogg, 51, who died Monday afternoon at the Mercy Hospital in Mason City where he had been a patient for 6 days.

Mr. Kellogg was a veteran of the First World War and was wounded at Sergy, France. The Rev. Joseph G. Morgan, pastor of the First Congregational Church was to officiate and interment was to be made in Riverside Cemetery, with military rites there by the Shannon-Wilson post, American Legion.

Mr. Kellogg had been a resident of this community most his life, for many years being employed at the Fred Blumenstiel Jewelry store here. He had been in failing health for more than 3 ˝ years.

Glenn John Kellogg was born April 22, 1894, to George and Elva (Crippen) Kellogg at Clarksville.

He is survived by 3 sisters and 4 brothers; Mrs. Lottie Blumenstiel, Los Angeles, California; Miss Hazel Kellogg, Fairfield; Miss Mabel Kellogg, Chicago; George M. Kellogg, San Francisco; Theodore Kellogg, Champaign, Illinois; Dr. Keith Kellogg, Osage; and Howard L. Kellogg, Philadelphia, Pennsylvania.
