Floyd, Iowa - Bobbie "Bob" Van Hauen, 72, of Floyd, died Monday, October 22, 2012, at Hospice of North Iowa, Mason City.

Funeral services for Bob Van Hauen will be held 10:30 a.m. Friday, at the Hauser Funeral Home. Pastor Dennis Niezwaag of Saint John Evangelical Lutheran Church will officiate. Burial will be in Oakwood Cemetery, Floyd.

Friends may call at the Hauser Funeral Home from 5 to 7 p.m. Thursday, and Friday an hour prior to the service.

Hauser Funeral Home in Charles City, 641-228-2323, is in charge of arrangements.

Bobbie "Bob" Van Hauen, 72, of Floyd, died Monday, October 22, 2012, at Hospice of North Iowa, Mason City.

Bobbie Henry Van Hauen was born November 14, 1939, in Greene, Iowa, to Henry and Leona (Weinberg) Van Hauen. He graduated from Charles City High School, Charles City, Iowa. On September 7, 1963, he was united into marriage to Karen Catchpool. They later divorced. Bob then married Carol Hundt on December 16, 2011. Over the years he worked at Oliver/White Farm Equipment Company, and at the Brick and Tile Building in Mason City. Bob enjoyed raising cattle on his acreage, growing his big garden, fishing on his many trips to Canada, woodworking, tinkering around outdoors, and spending time with his grandchildren.

Living family members include his wife, Carol Van Hauen of Floyd; a son Terry (Kristi) Van Hauen of Knoxville; a daughter, Tammy (Chuck) Gaulke of Maxwell; three step children, Melanee (Bobbie) Shirlew of Walcott, Jackie (Cliff) Bohling of Solon, and Julie (David) Schiele of South Carolina; two grandchildren, Cooper and Spencer Van Hauen; 13 step grandchildren; seven step great grandchildren; brother, Willie (Sharon) Van Hauen, and sister, Janice (Bill) Tibbits both of Wisconsin.

He was preceded in death by his parents; a brother, Bill; nephew, Dean; and a great nephew, Drew.
