FORMER RESIDENT OF NORA SPRINGS DIES IN CALIFORNIA

Nora Springs – Word has been received here of the death October 2nd of a former resident, Mrs. Jessie Lewke, 78, of Ontario, California. She was a cousin of Prescott Lindsay or Nora Springs and Jay Lindsay of Floyd.

Mrs. Lewke was born Jessie Connor, Nora Springs, a daughter of John and Amanda (Lindsay) Connor.

Her first marriage was to Fred Shimer, in Nora Springs. Later she was married to Max Lewke, and they moved to California about 34 years ago.

She is survived by a daughter, Mrs. Harry Alexander, San Bernardino, California; and a son, Lloyd Lewke, who lives in Michigan.
