PETER HELMERS DIES AT ROCKFORD; RITES FRIDAY

Rockford – Peter J. Helmers, 92, died Wednesday at the Rockford Nursing Home.

Born July 5, 1868, in Germany, he came to this country in 1893 and to Floyd County in 1915. His wife died in 1951.

Surviving are three sons; John, Algona; Henry, Shenandoah; Edwin, Rudd; three daughters; Mrs. Grace Blunt, Miles City, Montana; Mrs. Harty Boleman, New Richmond, Minnesota; Mrs. Edna Kobernus and 29 grandchildren.

Funeral services will be Friday at 2 p.m. at the Weaver Funeral Home. The Rev. C. L. Oelfke of the Rudd Methodist Church will officiate.
Burial will be in Riverside Cemetery, Rockford.
