Mary Lou Galvin, 42, of Rockford, Iowa, died on Saturday, April 13, 1991, at her home, of cancer.

Funeral services were held on Tuesday at Holy Name Catholic Church in Rockford, with the Monsignor J. Sullivan officiating. Burial was in Riverside Cemetery at Rockford.

Mary Lou Galvin was born on August 17, 1948, in Rockwell, Iowa, to William and Lucille McKigney. She was a member of Chapter ED, P.E.O., and a member of Harmony. She was also a member of Holy Name Catholic Church, and taught C.C.D. classes for a number of years.

Survivors include her husband, Gary H. Galvin of Rockford; one daughter, Denyse, at home; her mother, Lucille McKigney, Dougherty, three brothers: Bernard McKigney of Moorhead, Minnesota, Brian McKigney of Mason City, and Ron McKigney of Des Moines; and one sister, Dorothy Betancourt, Minneapolis, Minnesota.

She was preceded in death by her father, William J. McKigney, and a son, Mark H. Galvin.
