Mildred (Mrs. Bert) Field, 81, of Rudd, Iowa, died on Monday, November 25, 1991 at St. Mary's Hospital in Rochester, Minnesota.

Funeral services were held on Friday, November 29, at the First Methodist Church in Rudd, with Rev. M. Reth officiating. Burial was in the riverside Cemetery, Rockford, Iowa. Schumburg Funeral Home of Rockford was in charge of arrangements.

Mildred M. Field was born on January 9, 1910, in Tacoma, Washington, the daughter of Roy and Maggie Boofer Schultz. She attended several schools in Iowa, including Rudd, Rockford and Marble Rock. She married Bert Field on August 28, 1927, near Nora Springs. They lived on several farms in Floyd County. She attended the First Methodist Church in Rudd.

Living family members include her husband, Bert of Rudd; one son, Dennis of Nora Springs.; two daughters, Margery (Mrs. Virden) Demaray and Karol (Mrs. Burt) Kelsey, both of Rudd; one sister, Mrs. Elsie Kapfer of Black River Falls, Wisconsin; 11 grandchildren and 18 great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her parents; one son, James; two daughters, Marilyn and Mary Ann Field; one brother, Claude Schultz; and three sisters: Thelma, Lois and Margaret.
