Blanche N. Curry, 86, of Floyd, died Sunday morning, April 21, 1991, at her home, of natural causes.

Funeral services were held on Wednesday Morning at the Grace United Methodist Church in Floyd. Rev. D. Grim, pastor, officiated, and burial was in the Oakwood Cemetery at Floyd.

Blanche Naomi Demaray Belville Curry was born April 6, 1905, in Ulster township, Floyd County, Iowa, the daughter of Chester and Emma Cerwinske Demaray. She graduated from Rudd High School and Hamilton Business College. On May 9, 1925, she married Clair Belville in Osage, Iowa. He died in 1955. On June 30, 1959, she married Darrell Curry in Quinby. He died in 1972.

She was a member of the Grace United Methodist Church, was a past president of the United Methodist Women of that church, was a charter member of the Happy Hour Club, was a board representative for the Easter Seal Society of Floyd for 18 years, and was a member of the Moose and Friendship Lodges.

Living family members include four nephews: Irwin Demaray and Virdin Demaray, both of Rudd, Leighton Demaray of Waukoma, and Gene Demaray of Story City, and their families; five step-grandchildren and several step-great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her parents, husbands, a brother, Jay; two step-children, and a step-grandchild.
