Funeral services for Clarence A. Zech, 82, of Rockford, Iowa, were held on Tuesday, March 17, 1992 at the Zion Lutheran Church in Rockford, with Pastor John Albrecht officiating. Burial was in the Sunnyside Memory Gardens at Charles City.

Memorials may be directed to the Clarence A. Zech Memorial Fund, at the Zion Lutheran Church, where he was a member.

Clarence was born to Oscar A. and Bertha (Schoenberger) Zech, on June 8, 1909, near Plover, Iowa, one of four brothers and five sisters. Clarence moved to the Rockford area in 1939 and had farmed in the area until his death on March 14, 1992 at his home.

Clarence was preceded in death by his parents, two brothers, Henry and Roy; two sisters, Edna and Martha; and three wives: A. Eleanor (Norman) Zech in 1957, Marjorie (Mathews) Zech in 1971, and Vera (Oelrich-Fenton) Zech in 1988.

Mr. Zech is survived by three children: Sharon Kraus of Garner, Iowa, Jerry Zech of Mason City, iowa, and Dr. Jeanne Staudt of Rockford; three sisters: Laura Havlik and Evelyn Point of Pocahontas, and Irene Jacobson of Wykoff, Minnesota; one brother, Arnold Zech of Mallard, Iowa; nine grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren.
