Duane Winkowitsch, 55, of Rudd, Iowa, died on Friday, February 14, 1992, at his home in Rudd.

Funeral services were held on Monday, February 17, 1992, at the Schwartz Funeral Chapel in Aplington, with Rev. H. Hertz officiating. Burial was in the Bethel Reformed Cemetery in Aplington.

Duane Winkowitsch was born on November 4, 1936, in Butler county, Iowa, the son of Adam and Ella Buseman Winkowitsch. He worked in road construction most of his life.

Living family members include five sons: Glenn of Wellsburg, Tony of Mason City, and Kevin, Chet, and Chad, all of Quincy, Illinois; one daughter, Reta (Mrs. Dennis) Smith of Quincy; five grandchildren; two brothers, Francis and Lawrence, both of Aplington; and six sisters: Viola (Mrs. Egbert) Smeins of Kesley, Betty (Mrs. Lanny) Blohm of Des Moines, Virginia (Mrs. Carl) Klingborg of Parkersburg, Minnie Miller of Iowa Falls, and Mickey Moore and Evelyn (Mrs. John) Tjabring, both of Aplington.

He was preceded in death by his parents.
