CHARLES CITY, IOWA - Lorraine Bigelow, 70, of Charles City, died Thursday, Sept. 13, 2012, at her home.
Funeral services will be held 10:30 a.m. Saturday at Hauser Funeral Home. Chaplain Janet Dorenkamp will officiate. Burial will be in Riverside Cemetery at Charles City.
Friends may call at the Hauser Funeral Home from 5 to 7 p.m. Friday and Saturday an hour prior to the service.

Lorraine Kathryn Springer Bigelow was born September 29, 1941, near Bassett, the daughter of Amos and Helen (Marovets) Springer. She graduated from Nashua High School in 1959. On May 22, 1963, she was united in marriage to Ralph Bigelow at Waverly. After their children were raised Lorraine did private homecare in Charles City. She enjoyed cooking, crocheting, fishing, garage saling, wintering in Texas with Ralph and attending various music festivals. Her greatest joy, however, was to spend time with her family and share her life with them.
Living family members include her husband, Ralph Bigelow of Charles City; four children, Cheryl (Wesley) Boman of Klemme, Brenda (Jim) Clark of Waterloo, Becky (Craig) Dana of Altoona and Kelli (Jim) Ellingson of Altoona; two stepsons, Douglas (Denise) Bigelow of Peoria, Illinois, and Dennis (Carla) Bigelow of Coralville; three sisters, Dorothy (Henry) Mohring of Ionia, Madonna (Ervin) Mohring of Charles City and Beverly (Dave) Bray of West Des Moines; 12 grandchilden, three great grandchildren and numerous nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents; brother, Gordon Springer; and two sisters, Doris Martin and Darlene Martens.
