FLORENCE ISABEL KNUDSEN BRUEGGER
Florence Isabel Knudsen was born at Terry, South Dakota on June 22, 1902. She was the younger of two children born to Mr. and Mrs. H. W. Knudsen. The first fifteen years of her life were spent at Terry where she received her public school education, and where she attended the Sunday school and services of the Methodist Episcopal Church. It was there also at an early age that she received Christian baptism.
In 1919 she came with her parents to Charles City, Iowa. She entered the high school here from which she graduated in 1921. On February 6, 1926 she was united in marriage with Hilmar Fred Bruegger. For a time their home was situated at Williston, North Dakota. The residences has been retained although Mrs. Bruegger has often accompanied her husband in his work as an operator for the Kelly Sales System of Minneapolis.
A number of months ago certain indications of ill health began to be manifest. The condition was such as led to a clinical examination at Rochester. An operation was considered necessary and submitted to by Mrs. Bruegger, but from which she did not rally. Her death occurred on Saturday, November 29, 1930 at the hospital at Rochester.
Mrs. Bruegger was a lover of her home. She was very much attached to her parents and loyal in her relationships with them. In the recent years of her married life, she was likewise devoted to her husband and the interests of their home. Tom many beyond the circle of her home she will be remembered as having a good spirit and being a faithful friend.
The surviving members of the famil are: her husband, Hilmar Fred Bruegger, Williston, North Dakota; her parents, Mr. and Mrs. H.W. Knudson, Charles City, Iowa; and one brother, Clarence William Knudson, Louisville, Kentucky.
Funeral services were conducted by Rev. E.T. Gough after which interment was made in Riverside Cemetery.
