FRANK LINCOLN SANDERS

Frank Lincoln, son of John B. and Mary J. Sansers was born at Vinton, Benton County, Iowa, September 2, 1860 and died at his near Charles City, Iowa, on Tuesday, October 7, 1930.

He was united in marriage with Myrtle Maud Grow on August 3, 1887 and to this union three children were born. Mrs. Vera B. Vahl, of Detroit, Michigan; Leo W. of Charles City, Iowa and Mary, now Mrs. Frank Bruner of Colwell, Iowa.

Mrs. Sanders moved to Charles City, Iowa in 1920 purchasing an acreage just east of the city where they have since continued to reside.

He leaves to mourn his departure his wife and children, five grandchildren and one brother, William F. Sanders of South Bend, Ind.; and one sister, Mrs. J.L. Riggle of Corwith, Iowa.

He was an honorable and upright man and for many years had charge of the maintenance along highway No. 18. He was always busy at some kind of work and was always ready to assist others who were in need.

He has been a member of the Church of Christ for many years and lived an earnest consistent christian life.

He had hosts of friends who join with the family in their great sorrow.

Funeral services were held at the First Christian Church, Charles City, Thursday, October 9 at 2:15 o'clock conducted by the pastor, Rev. G.A. Hess with interment in Riverside Cemetery.

Those who attended the funeral were, W.F. Sanders, South Bend, Indiana; Mr. and Mrs. W. S. Crutcher, Mrs. Alice Taylor, of Waterloo; Mr and Mrs Ed Strobecker, of Dysart; Mr. and Mrs. S.A. Grow, Mrs. H. Russell and Mrs. Alma Dickens of Mason City; Mr. and Mrs. J. Riggle, and family of Corwith; Mrs. J.C. Sanders of Algona, Roger W. Sanders, Mr. and Mrs. Paul Klar and family of Osage; Mrs. Henry Vahl and daughter, Marjorie of Detroit, Michigan.
