Ida Amelia (Togstead) Fluent – April 2, 1880 – August 9, 1941

MRS. FLUENT IS ILLNESS VICTIM
61 YEAR OLD WOMAN WAS PROMINENT IN ACTIVITIES IN CITY

Charles City – Mrs. Ida Amelia fluent, 61, died at her home here Saturday morning following a day and a half illness.

She is survived by three sons; Carlyle, Los Angeles, California; Wayne, Ames; and James of Hollywood, California; and a daughter; Jeanne, Charles City; three brothers; Alfred and Raymond Togstead of Nampa, Idaho; and Edward Togstead of Charles City; and two sisters; Mrs. Cecelia Bower and Mrs. Edna Malee, both of Madison, Wisconsin.

She was a member of the Pythian Sisters, the Woman’s club and St. Margaret’s Guild of the Grace Episcopal Church

Ida Amelia Togstead was born April 2, 1880 in Wisconsin, the daughter of Charles Togstead and Read (Wiedeman) Togstead.

She married Walter John Fluent, the son of Tillicent Fluent and Anna (Burns) Fluent.
(parents’ names are from the 1925 Iowa Census, Charles City)

She was buried in Riverside Cemetery, Charles City, Floyd, Iowa
