Florence Potter, 90, a former Rudd resident, died Saturday, January 3, 1992, at the Floyd County Memorial Hospital.

Graveside services will be held on Friday at the Riverside Cemetery. The Rev. D. Niezwaag, of St. John Evangelical Lutheran Church, will officiate.

There will be no visitation. Hauser Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.

Forence M. Potter was born on May 21, 1902, in Rudd, Iowa, the daughter of Bennett and Mary Radloff Wattles. She graduated from the Rudd High School. In December of 1939, she married Newton Potter. She had worked as a secretary for the unemployment office in Charles City, and also at the State Capitol building in Des Moines. She was a member of the St. John Evangelical Lutheran Church.

Living family members include a son, Bruce of Toney, Alabama; and a sister, Eloise McDonald of Sunnyside, Washington.

She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, two sisters, Mertie Monen and Carmella McLaren; and a brother, Waldo Wattles.
