HOLD RITES THURSAY FOR CHARLES CITY MAN

Charles City – funeral services will be held Thursday morning at the Lady of Mt. Carmel Catholic Church at Lawler for Frank Arens, 67, uncle of Mrs. Arnold Haus, 510 Allison Street, who died late Monday afternoon at the Cedar Valley Hospital here.

A former resident of Eagle Butte, South Dakota, Mr. Arens underwent surgery two years ago at Rochester, Minnesota, and had since made his home here with his niece.

Mr. Arens was born August 27, 1883 at Dyersville. He was never married.

He is survived by a brother, Henry Arens, also of Eagle Butte. The Larkin Funeral Home of New Hampton is in charge of arrangements.

Frank Clemens Arens was born August 27, 1883 in Dyersville, Dubuque Co., Iowa, the son of Heinrich Arens and Agnes (Schroeder) Arens.

The niece in the obit above was Mathilda (Arens) Haus, daughter of Joseph Arens, his brother.

His brother Joseph is buried in Mt. Carmel Cemetery, Lawler, Iowa and his parents are buried in Saint. Francis Cemetery, Dyersville, Iowa.
