AGED WOMAN DIES AT CHARLES CITY; FUNERAL THURSDAY

Charles City – Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. Thursday at the Hauser Funeral Home for Mrs. Clarence H. Kellogg, 84, of 203 Blunt Street, who died Monday evening at the Cedar Valley Hospital. She had been a patient there for almost a week and had been in failing health for about 3 ½ years. The Rev. James K. Delahooke, pastor of the First Methodist Church will officiate and burial will be in Riverside Cemetery.

Mrs. Kellogg was a resident of Charles City for more than 40 years and was active in the Methodist Church, PEO Sisterhood and the D.A.R. as long as her health permitted.

She is survived by her husband, and one sister; Mrs. George L Edson, Montpelier, Vermont. A son died in infancy and her parents preceded her in death. All PEO members will attend services in a group, meeting at the funeral home at 1:45 p.m.

Minnie Orlena Perrin was born June 5, 1866 in Berlin, Washington County, Vermont, the daughter of Cornelius Perrin and Orlena( Strong) Perrin.

She married Clarence Herbert Kellogg, the son of Sherman Kellogg and Lydia (Graham) Kellogg.
