Paul A. Dow, 82, of Nora Springs, Iowa, died on Monday, December 23, 1991, at Good Sheperd Care Center in Mason City.

Funeral services were held Thursday, December 26, 1991, at First United Methodist Church, Nora Springs, with Rev. Richard Pippert officiating. Burial was in Rock Grove Cemetery.

Mr. Dow was born on April 8, 1909, in Floyd county, Iowa, a son of Solon and Grace (Ayers) Dow. He married Frieda Snell on September 12, 1987, at Mason City.

He enjoyed spending time with his grandchildren and was an avid gardener. He was a member of First United Methodist Church, Nora Springs.

Survivors include his wife, Frieda Snell-Dow, Nora Springs; two daughters, Nancy Witt and her husband, Bill; and Colleen Brallier and her husband, Mike, all of Nora Springs; four grandchildren: Paul and Christie Witt and Lisa and Angie Brallier, all of Nora Springs; his former wife, Elma (Biggs) Dow, Nora Springs; one stepdaughter, Mrs. Kevin (Janette Snell) Klenzie, Gillette, Wyoming; one stepson, Jim Snell, Mason City; and one stepgranddaughter, Heather Snell, Mason City.

He was preceded in death by his parents, two brothers, two sisters, and one grandson.
