Frederick Ervin Rex – July 12, 1873 – October 30, 1950

FRED REX RITES HELD THURSDAY
Funeral services for Fred Rex were held at his home at 2 o’clock Thursday afternoon, November 2nd, Reverend J. W. Bearse officiating. The flowers were in charge of Stella Bear and Mrs. Maude Vorhes. Burial was in Hillside Cemetery.

Fred was one of nine children born to Martin and Claola Rex. He was born July 12, 1873, in the vicinity of Marble Rock. He grew to manhood on the farm and spent all of his active years farming.

On June 3, 1895, he was married to Miss Edith Smith of Marble Rock. Two sons were born to this marriage.

Surviving are his wife and one son, Ross, of Marble Rock; two brothers; Carl of Marble Rock; and Claude of Osage; and four sisters; Mrs. Frank Sanford of Hubbard, Minnesota; Viola Bloss of Modesto, California; Mrs. Glen Gates of Okambra, California; and Mrs. Grace Curtis of Charles City.
