SERVICES ARE SET FOR TUESDAY FOR PIONEER NORA SPRINGS WOMAN

Nora Springs – Funeral services for Mrs. Mary Gildner, 89, pioneer Nora Springs resident, will be conducted Tuesday at 2 p.m. in the Methodist Church here with the Rev. Robert Davies officiating.

Mrs. Gildner died Sunday morning after an illness of about 10 days.

Born in Germany, she came to Canada when seven years old. Shortly afterward she moved to Iowa. Her husband, a farmer for many years in the vicinity of Nora Springs, died several years ago.

Surviving are seven children; N. J. Gildner; Mrs. John Gashel and Mabel Gildner of Nora Springs; Albert; Fred; and Conrad of Mason City; and Arthur of Plymouth; 12 grandchildren and eight great-grandchildren. She was an aunt of W. E. Gildner, Mason City; E. E. Gildner of Marshalltown; A. J. Gildner of Waterloo; and J. H. Gildner of California.

Mary Schnarr was born March 31, 1851 in Germany, the daughter of Heinrich Schnarr and Anna (Mogk) Schnarr. She married Conrad Gildner.
