PORTER ALLEN DIES AT ROCKFORD; RITES SATURDAY

Rockford – Porter Allen, 86, died at his home here Wednesday morning. Funeral services will be Saturday at 2 p.m. at the Weaver Funeral Home. The Rev. George Baker of the Methodist Church will officiate. Burial will be in Riverside Cemetery.

Born in McVeytown, Pennsylvania, he came here 69 years ago. He had been a carpenter the last 41 years.

Surviving are a sister, Mrs. Ada Hill, Osage, and several nieces including Miss Juanita allen, with whom he lived.
