Mae Sarah (Willoth) Barr – July 15, 1894 – August 15, 1966

RITES TODAY FOR MAE BARR, 72

Mrs. Mae S. Barr, 72, passed away Monday of a heart attack at the home of her daughter, Mrs. Robert Pritchard, in Waterloo.

She was born July 15 1894, at Marble Rock to Joseph and Frances Wise Willoth and was married there to Guy C. Barr on October 4, 1912. The couple resided in Marble Rock until his death 15 years ago when she moved to Waterloo.

Survivors include three daughters, Mrs. Pritchard of Waterloo, Mrs. Earlene Haywood of McAllen, Texas, and betty M Weber of Arcadia, California; a brother, Kent J. Willoth, of Waterloo; five grandchildren and four great-grandchildren.

Funeral services are being held this afternoon, Wednesday, at 1:00 o’clock at the Parrott and Wood funeral Home. Burial will be held in Hillside Cemetery at Marble Rock. Rev. C. Wayne Overholser, associate pastor of the First Presbyterian church in Waterloo, will officiate.
