MRS. BERTELSON DIES AT 24; RITES FRIDAY

Charles City – Mrs. Robert Bertelson, 24, died of pneumonia Tuesday at the Cedar Valley Hospital. Funeral services will be Friday at 1 p.m. in the Grossmann-Hage Funeral Home with burial in Sunnyside Memory Gardens.

Born near Marble Rock in 1935, she was a 1953 graduate of Charles City High School. She was a member of St. John Lutheran Church.

Surviving are her husband, a son, Victor; a sister; Mrs. Robert Lusk, Des Moines; her parents; Mr. and Mrs. Chester Moser, Charles City; a grandmother; Mrs. Minnie Heuer, Greene; and a grandfather; Peter Moser, Marble Rock.

Maxine Moser was born in 1935 in Floyd County, Iowa, the daughter of Chester E. and Mylinda K. Moser. In the 1940 US Census, they were living in Scott, Floyd Co., Iowa.

She married Robert Charles Bertelson, the adopted son of Carl and Sylvia Bertelson. According to his obit, his name before the adoption was Frederick Charles Henry and Carl and Sylvia Bertelson were his aunt and uncle.

Maxine and Robert had one son Victor Charles Bertelson, born June 14, 1954
