Fanny M. Ackley was born in Otsego County, New York, November 15, 1838 and died at her home in Marble Rock, Iowa on December 20th, 1919, being 81 years, 1 month and 5 days old at the time of her death.
She came with her parents to Marble Rock in 1855 and has lived here almost ever since.
She was married to Egbert Davis, March 2, 1857, having been married sixty-two years. To this union was born seven children, three boys and four girls, three of the girls having died some years ago, all of them living near Marble Rock except one son, his home being in Minnesota.
She made a profession of religion when about fourteen years old and joined the Free Baptist Church, and has lived a consistent Christian life ever since. She was a member of the Baptist Church of Marble Rock at the time of her death.
She leaves to mourn her death, her husband and four children, one brother, one sister, 21 grandchildren and 23 great-grandchildren, and a host of friends and relatives.
She was a kind and loving wife and mother and will be greatly missed by them. She had not been well for some years, however, she was feeling as well as usual Friday morning. She ate her breakfast, but soon after she complained of not feeling well. The doctor was called and all was done for her that could be. She passed away Saturday morning at 2 o’clock.
Funeral services were held in the Baptist Church on Monday afternoon at 1:30 p.m., conducted by her pastor, after which her remains were laid to rest in the West Side Cemetery to await the coming of her Lord

Frances Maria “Fanny” Ackley was born November 15, 1838, the daughter of James Ackley and Nancy (Brightman) Ackley.
She married Egbert Davis, the son of Philip Davis and Keturah (Mapes) Davis.
