Ruth Maguire

Ruth Maguire, 88, of the Nora Springs Care Center, died on Tuesday, March 8, 1994, at the care center.

Memorial services were held on Monday, March 14, at 10 a.m. at the Holy Name Catholic Church in Rockford. Interment will be at the Rose Hill Cemetery in Greene at a later date.

Ruth Maguire came to the Rockford/Nora Springs area in 1982 to keep house for her brother, Msgr. Paul Maguire, who was Rector of the Holy Name Catholic Church at that time. She was active in the church and was a long-time member of the “Lay Carmelite Community” of West Union.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Philip R. and Mary (Caine) Maguire; two brothers: Msg. Paul and Phillip; and two sisters: Margaret and Paulene.
