Funeral services for Juhl B. Lines, 34, of 248 Somerset Ct. New Lenox, Illinois, and formerly of Marble Rock, Iowa, were held Saturday, January 22, 1994 at 1:30 p.m. at the United Methodist Church in Marble Rock, with Rev. Shirley Meendering officiating. Burial was in the Hillside Cemetery in Marble Rock. Reid’s Funeral Chapel of Marble Rock was in charge of arrangements.

Juhl Brian Lines was born July 15, 1959 at the Cedar Valley Hospital in Charles City, a son of Merland C. and LaVonne A. (Daughenbaugh) Lines, and died Sunday, January 16, 1994 at the Silver Cross Hospital in Joliet, Illinois, of an acute blood disorder known as TTP.

He received his education in the Marble Rock Public School and graduated from the Rockford High School in 1977. Following graduation he worked for Quad States Construction Company, building the Marble Rock Elevator. Later he was employed by Northern Cedar Service in Mason City. Since 1980 he has been employed by the Chicago Rock Island and Pacific Railroad and later the Metra-Metropolitan Rail, Rock Island District, New Lenox, Illinois, as a signal maintainer and signal foreman.

On December 26, 1981 he was united in marriage to Lori Jane Nikolas at the Immaculate Conception Catholic Church in Charles City. The marriage ended in 1991.

Living family members include: his parents, Merland and LaVonne Lines of rural Marble Rock; two sisters, Joyce and her husband, John Hanna and children, Craig and Kayla of Lake Mills, and Debra Lines of Forest City; and one brother, Bruce Lines of Minneapolis.

He was preceded in death by his brother, Craig Lines, in 1970.
