WOMAN, ILL, TAKES LIFE BY HANGING
Charles City – Funeral services were to be held at the Nora Springs Lutheran church Monday afternoon at 2 o’clock, for Mrs. George Mogk, 47, a resident of Nora Springs, who according to Floyd County coroner Carl Hauser, of Charles City, ended her life by hanging herself in the bathroom of her home about 8 o’clock Friday night, while her husband, a stock buyer, was absent from home for a while.
The Rev. W. G. Pfeffer was to officiate and interment was to be in Park Cemetery there with the Sheckler Funeral Home in charge.
Coroner Hauser said Mrs. Mogk took her life by hanging herself from the door with the cord from her bathrobe; that she had been suffering a nervous breakdown since January and had been under treatment both at Nora Springs and the Mayo Clinic at Rochester, Minnesota; that she had been very depressed and irrational for some time, but had seemed somewhat improved of late.
Besides her husband, she is survived by several brothers and sisters, but no children.
