Matilda (Bentz) Johnson – December 30, 1887 – October 17, 1931

MRS. THEODORE JOHNSON OF ROCKFORD IS BURIED

Rockford, Oct. 20 – Mrs. Theodore Johnson died at her home here Saturday morning following an illness of about three months.
Funeral services were held yesterday afternoon at the Methodist Church in charge of the Rev. C. E. Luce.

Matilda Johnson was born at Deerfield, Illinois, December 30, 1887, and was married to Theodore Johnson of Melvin, Illinois, February 13, 1906. They lived in Algona and came to Rockford in 1928.

She is survived by her husband and six children and three stepchildren; Mrs. Harold Price, Mason City; Mrs. Henry Miller, Luverne; Leroy, Mason City; Theodore R., Ferna; and Florence of Rockford; Mrs. Ernest Hutchinson, Wesley; Mrs. Sam Bichel, Melvin, Illinois; and Clayton of Wesley; also her parents, Mr. and Mrs. George Bentz of Melvin, Illinois; and seven brothers; Edward, Ethan, South Dakota; Harry, Phillip, George and Albert, Melvin, Illinois; and Raymond of Wisconsin; and one sister; Mrs. J. Schrock of Dundee, Ohio.
