Frederick Emmett Nauman Sr., 95, former resident of rural Floyd, died on Thursday, May 4, 1993, at the 11th Street Chautauqua Guest Home in Charles City, Iowa.

Funeral services were held Friday at Hauser Funeral Home, Charles City, with Rev. D. Grim, pastor of Grace United Methodist Church officiating. Burial was in Evergreen Cemetery, Rudd.

Frederick Emmett Nauman, Sr., was born on February 2, 1898, in Rudd Township, Floyd County, Iowa.

Survivors include four sons: Lester and Paul Nauman, both of Floyd, David of Nora Springs, and Emmett Jr. of Floyd; five daughters: Bernice Caspers of Swaledale, Vera Nauman of Charles City, Gladys Wandro of Glendale, Arizona, Alice Klopping of Newton, and Ardis Richardson of Solon; one brother, Paul Nauman of Charles City; one sister, Esther Pitts of Santa Rosa, California; 35 grandchildren and 33 great-grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his parents, wife, one brother and one sister.
