Rosannah (Thomson) Hubbard – July 12, 1832 – January 23, 1928

Mrs. Rosannah Thomson Hubbard, 95 years old, wife of Monroe A. Hubbard, 620 North Church Street, died Monday morning at 11 o’clock at her home. The shock from a fall and infirmities of age caused her demise.

She was born in Java, N.Y., July 12, 1832, coming to Rockford when 16 years of age. She was married to William Hubbard, Feb. 24, 1853, and they made their home on a farm near Kings, Ogle County, until 1885, when they moved to Rockford, Ia., where they lived until Mr. Hubbard died, April 9, 1894.

June 16, 1898, Mrs. Hubbard was married to Monroe A. Hubbard moving to Rockford in 1910, where they have since resided. Four children preceded her in death. They are Clark Hubbard, Mary Dunkelberg, George F. Hubbard and Alta Brown. Three grandchildren also preceded her in death.

Besides the husband, Mrs. Hubbard leaves eight grandchildren and 13 great grandchildren.
She was a member of the Methodist Episcopal Church.

Brief funeral services will be held this afternoon at 1:30 o’clock at the home, the Rev. Quincy S. Wright officiating for relatives and close friends. Burial will be in Riverside cemetery at Rockford, Ia.
