Ira A. Booher – December 7, 1911 – October 12, 1963

IRA A BOOHER
Charles City – Funeral services will be Tuesday at 1:30 p.m. at the Hauser Funeral Home for Ira A. Booher, 51. A resident of Charles City for the last 34 years, he died Saturday at the Cedar Valley Hospital. Death resulted from cancer. Burial will be in Riverside Cemetery.

He had been employed at the local post office the last four years as custodian until his health failed in August. Previous to his employment there he had worked for the city. He was a veteran of World War II and a member of the American Legion.

Born December 7, 1911, the son of Oscar and Nora Brandt Booher, he never married.

He is survived by his mother, and three sisters; Ella Booher, Charles City; Mrs. Florence Schrage, Minneapolis, Minnesota; and Mrs. John Murch, Mt. Upton, New York.
His father preceded him in death.
