Mabel L. Ballard, 94, a longtime resident of Rockford, Iowa, died on Saturday, April 17, 1993, at the Riverside Chautauqua Guest Home.

Funeral services were held at 11 a.m. Thursday, April 22, at the United Methodist Church in Rockford, with Pastor Shirley Meendering officiating. Burial was in the Riverside Cemetery in Rockford, with Schumburg Funeral Home in charge of arrangements.

Mrs. Ballard was born on September 15, 1898, in Mason City, Iowa.

Living family members include her daughter, Jeanette Linck of Glendale, California; a niece, Cecelia Kaiser of Charles City; six grandchildren and ten great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, William, and by one son, Theodore.
