Vivian May Andresen, 92, of The Manor in Mason City, Iowa, died on Sunday, May 23, 1993, at St. Joseph Mercy Hospital in Mason City. Funeral services were held on Wednesday, May 26, 1993, at the Sheckler Colonial Chapel, Nora Springs, with Rev. S. Sorensen of the First Christian Church in Nora Springs officiating. Burial was in the Park Cemetery in Nora Springs.

Vivan May Andresen was born on January 10, 1901, the daughter of Charles O. and Margaret Ellen (Marshall) Schultz, in Nora Springs. She received her elementary education in the Nora Springs school system and attended Nora Springs High School.

She was united in marriage to Oscar D. Andresen on October 6, 1918, in Nora Springs. He preceded her in death on June 21, 1984. After their marriage they farmed together in the Cerro Gordo, Worth and Floyd county areas until their retirement in the late 1960's, moving to Rockford. She lived there until after her husband's death, moving then to The Manor in Mason City. She enjoyed crocheting, gardening, knitting, embroidering and reading.

Survivors include two daughters, Velda and her husband Lloyd Marth of Rudd, and Donna Campbell of Story City, Iowa; two sons, Duane and his wife June Andresen of Charles City, and Paul and his wife Margaret Andresen of Gulf Port, Mississippi; 12 grandchildren and 26 great-grandchildren, as well as other relatives.

Besides her husband she was also preceded in death by her parents, a son, Glen Andresen, who died on May 22, 1993, one brother and two sisters.
