W. Carl Truex, 84, of Marble Rock, Iowa, died on Sunday, December 4, 1994, at North iowa Mercy Health Center East, Mason City, Iowa.

Funeral services were held Wednesday morning at 10:30 at the United Methodist Church, Marble Rock, with Rev. Rosemary Rhode-Frank officiating. Burial was in the Hillside Cemetery. Reid's Funeral Chapel of Marble Rock was in charge of arrangements.

Wilfred Carl Truex was born on November 12, 1910, in rural Bristow, Butler county, Iowa.

Survivors include his wife, Lyla of Marble Rock; three daughters: Charlotte Sieck of Willmar, Minnesota, Rita Squires of Clear Lake, and Joan Van Arkel of Cedar Falls; two sons, Doug Truex of Denver, Iowa, and Rick Truex of Clear Lake; 11 grandchildren; two sisters, LaVonne Shultz of Greene, and Vada Beguelin of Estacada, Oregon; and one brother, Charles Truex of Greene.

He was preceded in death by his parents, one brother and two grandchildren.
