Barbara K. Staudt, 98, of Marble Rock, Iowa, died Wednesday, August 10, 1994 at the Floyd County Memorial Hospital.

A funeral mass of Christian Burial for Mrs. Staudt was held on Saturday, August 13, at St. Mary's Catholic Church in Greene, with Rev. Msgr. Walter Brunkan officiating.

Barbara K. Kramer was born on January 1, 1896 in rural Union Township, Floyd County, Iowa, a daughter of John and Mary (Puhl) Kramer. She received her education in the rural Floyd County Schools and on November 22, 1920, she was united in marriage to Nick G. Staudt at St. Mary's Catholic Church in Roseville.

The Staudts farmed in the rural Marble Rock area until his death on June 2, 1948. Mrs. Staudt moved into Marble Rock where she lived until 1974, then moved to live near her daughter in rural Marble Rock. She entered the Salsbury Baptist Home in Charles City in 1993.

Barbara was a member of St. Mary's Catholic Church in Greene. She will be remembered for her interest in her family and their well-being. As a pastime she enjoyed crocheting.

Living family members include her daughter, Marilyn and husband, Merlyn Sebaugh of Marble Rock; two grandchildren, Marcia and her husband, Pete Vorhes, of marble Rock, and Janet Wright of Hesperia, California; five great-grandchildren: Tamy Neff of Marion; Pam, Tara, and Ray Vorhes of Marble Rock; and Michael Wright of Hesperia, Calif.; and two sisters, Christina Heinz of Charles City and Josephine Gabel of Greene. A sister-in-law, Theresa Kramer, of Rockford, has just followed her in death.

She leaves to join her parents; her husband; one sister, Mrs. Katie Staudt; and three brothers: Raymond, John and Matt Kramer.
