Orlwin I. "Pike" Trevett, 73, of Rockford, Iowa, died on Monday, July 4, 1994, at the Rockwell Care Center, Rockwell, Iowa.
Funeral services were held on Thursday at the First Congregational Church in Rockwell, with the Rev. Kathleen King officiating. Burial was in the Memorial Park Cemetery, Mason City. Fullerton Patterson James Funeral Home of Rockwell was in charge of arrangements.
Orlwin Irl Trevett was born on September 1, 1920, in rural Rockford, Owen Township, Floyd county, Iowa. He was the son of Irl R. and Bertha D. Carstens Trevett. He attended schools in rural Cerro Gordo County, Iowa.
On May 4, 1941, in Mason City, he married Wilma Arlene Evans. The couple made their home on farms between Rockwell and Rockford. Mrs. Trevett died on June 15, 1982 in Rockwell.
Mr. Trevett was a longtime livestock and crop farmer in the rural Cerro Gordo county area, retiring when he moved to Rockford in 1993. He was a former member of the Farm Bureau and a former 4-H leader. While on the farm he was a dealer for the Trelay Seed Corn Company. He attended the First Congregational Church in Rockwell.
Living family members include his two sons, Mike Trevett and Brian Trevett and wife, Shirley, all of rural Rockford; two daughters and their husbands, Gloria and Allen Johnson of Mason City and Carol and Tomyas Andersen of Fort Madison; one sister, Ileen Newman of Clear Lake; 12 grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his parents and his wife.
