NORA SPRINGS SEXTON OF CEMETERY SUFFERS STROKES; IS INTERRED

Nora Springs – Funeral services for Charles Frost, 79, who died Tuesday after suffering a series of strokes, were held Thursday at the Martin Scheckler Funeral Home. The Rev. David Lang was in charge of the services.

Mrs. Roy Kraupa sang “Beautiful Isle of Somewhere.” She was accompanied by Mrs. Carl Crowell.

Mr. Frost was born in New York City on April 15, 1860. He was preceded in death by his mother when he was a small child. At the age of 17 he came to Nora Springs and made his home with Mr. and Mrs. Nickerson until his marriage on December 8, 1890. He was preceded in death by his wife March 8, 1937.

Surviving Mr. Frost are his daughter; Mrs. E. H. Vining, Mason City, four granddaughters; Mrs. Marie Boyd; Iona Hedden; Gwen Hedden, Mason City; and Mrs. Harry Bahr, Trip, South Dakota; and two great grandchildren, bobby Boyd, Mason City and Larry Bahr, Trip, S. Dakota.

Pallbearers were Elmer Dailey, Sever Klemesrud, Fred Shoger and James Shoger.
Burial was at the Park Cemetery at Nora Springs where Mr. Frost had been the sexton for many years.
