Samuel Frisbie – February 18, 1850 – June 23, 1932

SAMUEL FRISBIE

Samuel Frisbie, a resident of Stephenson County, Illinois for many years, passed away Thursday, June 23, at Nora Springs, Iowa, following an illness of eighteen months.

He was born in Hartford County, Conn., on February 18, 1850, coming west with his parents when a lad and settling in Silver Creek township, living there until his marriage to Susan Smith, when he settled on a farm near Lena. Here they resided until 1910 when they moved to Floyd County, Iowa.

He is survived by his widow and six children; C. H. Frisbie of Iowa Walls; Mrs. William Batdorf, Mason City, Iowa; William Frisbie, of Helm, Washington; Mrs. Oscar Gratias and Carlton Frisbie of Nora Springs.
One daughter, Birdie, passed away a number of years ago. There are seven grandchildren and one great-grandchild.

Mrs. S. S. Kaufman, residing on South Oak Avenue, is a sister, as is Mrs. Ella Keeling, of Pasadena, California.
