Betty Bahe, 77, of Charles City, died Thursday, July 19, 2012, at Regions Hospital in St. Paul Minn.

Funeral services for Betty Bahe will be held 10:30 a.m. Thursday, at Saint John Evangelical Lutheran Church. Pastor Jim Carpenter will officiate. Inurnment will be at a later date in Campton Cemetery at Lamont.

Friends may call at the Hauser Funeral Home from 4 to 8 p.m. Wednesday and at the church an hour prior to the service.

Betty Gail Cook Bahe was born July 2, 1935, at Wadena, the daughter of John and Marjorie (Adams) Cook. She graduated from Lamont High School in 1953. On September 27, 1957, she was united in marriage to Arnold Bahe at Lamont. For 11 years she was employed at Allen Hospital Credit Union retiring in 1997.

In 2000 they moved to Charles City. Betty was a member of Saint John Evangelical Lutheran Church. She was also a member of the American Legion Auxiliary where she had served as vice president and had also been a Hospice volunteer. Her interests included camping, crafts, reading, baking and playing board games or games on the computer. She especially treasured the time she spent with her family.

Living family members include her husband Arnold Bahe of Charles City; three sons, Craig (Sandra) Bahe of Elburn, Illinois, David Bahe and special friend Denise Bledsoe of Charles City and Evan (Valerie) Bahe of Snohomish, Washington; six grandchildren, Adam Bahe, Jeremy (Becky) Bahe, Elizabeth (Tim) Foust, Michael Bahe, Gretchen Bahe and Hannah Bahe; a sister, Barb (Max) Wolfgram of Manchester; a brother, Donald (Kim) Cook of Lamont; and several nephews and a niece.

She was preceded in death by her parents; and a daughter-in-law, Karen Bahe.
