Frederica (Kurtz) Howard – March 1873 – July 30, 1944
FORMER CHARLES CITY WOMAN DIES SUDDENLY AT HOME, MILLER, S. DAK.
Charles City – Mrs. Ira T. Howard, 72, died at her home in Miller, South Dakota, Sunday, following a short illness. Funeral services were held in Miller Tuesday.
Burial was made in Pine Hill Cemetery at Des Moines Wednesday.Mr. and Mrs. Howard made their home on a farm near Charles City for a number of years, leaving in 1925 for Miller.
She is survived by her husband, 2 sons, Alfred and Ira T. Howard, Miller, S. Dakota; 6 daughters, Mrs. Ed (Marie) Wobith; Mrs. Earl (Marian) Loye; Mrs. John (Maxine)Cox, all of Charles City; Mrs. Morrie (Verla) Miller, Mason City; Mrs. Dudley (Susie) Hoisington, Egan, S. Dakota; and Miss Edythe Howard, St. Louis, Missouri; one brother, Peter Kurtz, Clive, and 4 grandchildren.
