ONE TIME RESIDENT NEAR NORA SPRINGS DIES IN WASHINGTON

Nora Springs – Relatives here received word of the death of Frank Bishop, 76, on September 13th, at his home in Bellingham, Washington, following a lengthy illness.

Survivors include 3 children; Mrs. Ivan Finsberg; John Bishop and Leo Bishop, all of Bellingham; two sisters; Mrs. Kelly Daily and Mrs. Laura Zuehl, both of Nora Springs; and two brothers; Jay Bishop of Nora Springs and Blaine Bishop of Plymouth.

Frank Bishop was born on what is now the Salier farm, 2 ½ miles west of Nora Springs. He moved from here about 40 years ago. His wife, who, before her marriage, was Miss Ava Wood of Mason City, died about two years ago.

Frank Bishop was born August 15, 1874 near Nora Springs, the son of John Bishop and Lucinda (Spotts) Bishop. He was buried in the Woodlawn Cemetery, Ferndale, Whatcom County, Washington.
