Audrey Joan Coyle was born on October, 31, 1937, in rural Northwood, to Harvey and Mildred Kuhlmann. She attended school in Northwood, and later on in life attained her GED. Audrey was united in marriage to Dean Coyle on August 11, 1953, in Manly. They made their home in the Floyd area since 1963. To their union five children were born.

Audrey spent a lot of time at home raising five children. As the children got older she was able to take on some part time jobs. She worked at Ray's Pizza, and would take the kids for Friday night pizza. Besides working in the food industry, Audrey went to beauty school, but found her true passion in life when working for the school system as a teacher's aide for special needs. She loved working at the school.

In her free time, Audrey liked to cook and bake. She was very proud of her Norwegian heritage and proved it in her baking. Audrey didn't share her recipes, but she liked to share her food, especially scotcheroos with the grandsons.

Audrey enjoyed playing card games, dominos, and board games. She played Jokers with a group of friends she referred to as, "the girls." As a family she enjoyed camping in Mason City and Riceville. She also enjoyed remodeling the house, which became a family hobby. Audrey and her husband Dean were "snowbirds," they spent a lot of time in Alamo, Texas, with their many, many friends. Audrey was a member of the Ladies Auxiliary, Immaculate Conception Church, and the Resurrection Church in Texas. Above all else, her greatest joy in life was her family and friends who she loved spending time with.

Those left to honor her memory include her children, Connie (Mike) Johnson, Chris (Rick) Mayer and Ed (DeEtt) Coyle; grandchildren, Jesse Johnson, Cody (Jennifer) Johnson, Father Gary Mayer, and Brad (Courtney) Mayer; great-grandchildren, Landen, Jayden, and Lilly Johnson; great-grand baby to come, Alexa Mayer; sister, Kalla Lodge; sisters-in-laws, Lois Hegtvedt and Helen Arnett; special friend, Larry Waggoner; and many other relatives and many, many friends. She will be sadly missed by all who loved and knew her.

Audrey was preceded in death by her husband, Dean Coyle; her children, Penny Sue Coyle and Patrick Coyle; parents; parents- in-laws; three brothers, four brother-in-laws; and three sisters-in-laws.
